Travelling on the Limon Express is a pleasant excursion, along the Costa Blanca. You can admire Altea, Teulada and other natural places you can't otherwise reach. The old tourist trains stops in Gata de Gorgos where passengers visit a guitar factory and are shown typical handicraft. On the way back, going South, passengers can enjoy the wonderful west Mediterranean landscape from the heights of this coast whilst sparkling wine is served
The Limón Express (lemon express) is a special kind of excursion and ideal for everybody who considers hiking or mountainbiking as too strenuous. In this nostalgic train, you can enjoy a beautiful trip along the coastline of the Mediterranean in only five hours.
The
train starts daily (except Sundays and Mondays) at about 9:40 am, from
Benidorm and goes along the beautiful coast of Gata de Gorgos and passes
Altea, Penon d´Ifach, Teulada and other places.
The
train finally stops in Gata de Gorgos, where it is possible to visit
a guitar factory which is close by. The alternative is to watch the
artistic production of baskets, made of willow branches and raffia.The
journey back starts at about 1:50 pm. On the way back, passengers are
served champagne and you can once more rejoice in the stunning landscape.
