Next Attraction

The Terra Mitica park is divided into five areas of attractions and shows which, going back in time, display the mysteries of the most ancient and legendary civilisations of the mediteranean.

Egypt "The bazaar of dreams", Greece "The place of the gods", Rome "The frontier" and Iberia "The warm shore" surround a large lake of water which symbolises the Mediterranean Sea, from which the fith area, The "Great Voyage" Islands emerges.

Incorporated in these areas are the following shows and attractions:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egypt - The bazaar of dreams
This area reflects, with surprising realism, the splendorous world of the thousands-year-old Egypt of the Pharaohs up to the sumptuous court of Queen Cleopatra in the city of Alexandria. One can stroll amid the bustle of Alexandria Harbour, roam the streets of the bazaars, shop in a palace and, at the pyramid, share the Pharaoh's secrets.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greece - The place of the gods
The area of mythical Greece comprises three different scenarios: That of the Olympic Games, born in the ancient city of Olympia, with the shrine dedicated to the god Zeus. That of the marketplace of Agora in Athens, and lastly, that of Crete.

You can relive the excitement of the Olympic Games and go back to the time when everything was possible with the help of the gods.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iberia - The warm shore
This area depicts the life of a small Christian village in the Region of Valencia in the XVII and XVIII centuries: its houses, orchards, typical cottages and farmsteads. It extends from the Levante Harbour to the Castle of Pope Luna, which rises up as a symbolic defensive bastion.

It also shows the spirit of coexistence of this Region in the Arab and Jewish settlements, and the tension with the Christians in the mock battles between "Moors and Christians", so deply rooted in the popular festivities and traditions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rome - The Frontier:
On crossing the bridge of Merida one arrives at the great Roman fortress.

In this area, the splendour of civilisation which once ruled the world is reconstructed in its streets, architectural elements such as the Roman theatre or the reproduction of the She-Wolf Capitorina, the military atmosphere, the palisades etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Islands - The great voyage
This area is in the centre of Terra Mitica, on the island in the middle of the lake which symbolises the Mediteranean Sea.

This space reconstructs the route of the mythical voyage of Ulysses, a voyage of heroic deeds, mysteries and sensations, and full of legends.
