The area around Gran Alacant has some rare advantages, on one hand it is situated on a fine sandy beach in beautiful surroundings, which offer an ideal place for swimming. Another advantage of Gran Alacant is that one can reach the Airport of El Altet in less than 10 minutes.
This little town has a wide choice of restaurants and amenities which we have highlighted just a few below.

Within a 10 min walk from our townhouse, we have 2 large supermarkets (Lidl & Marcado) which has a wide range of everyday items, together with fresh daily deliveries of bread & milk.

Every Thursday next to the Macardo market, a weekly street market takes place, which has a wide selection of goods and home decorations to choose from.

The area has numerous restaurants for all tastes and new ones open up each month !

Saffron – serving fine Indian food which has seating both inside & out for those hot summer months. Within 10 mins walk we also have a choices of Chinese & Pizza restaurants for eat in or takeaways.

Gran Alacant is well served by the local bus company and has a regular service going to Alicante Town Centre and Santa Pola for those wishing to explore the area without a car.

The Carabassi beach is a 5 min drive, which has plenty of parking and is a firm favourite with our family as the beach is nice and sandy.

For those who run out of spending money whilst on holiday ! we have a local bank with cash point facilities should the need arise.

Should you need some ointments or medicines, we also have a local Pharmacy situated 5mins walk away.
